Hello lovelies!
It's time for another addition of Dear Friday letters. I fell off the wagon for a bit, but I felt like getting back on this week. So here goes.
Dear Birthday,
You were pretty great. I had to turn off my phone at work due to all the texts and notifications. I felt love from the twitterverse, Fb, cards and IRL. It was nice. This was however the first birthday I've worked, which my father informed me 'we' just don't do. (Which explains why my mother HATES that I took of every other Bday til now...) Next year I'm thinking a half day.
Dear Co-Worker,
Your fill in the blank card, was quite possibly the sweetest most thoughtful gift I've received from someone who wasn't family. The fact that you took all that time to pick out just the right nail polish, with just the right name is just......its just so freaking sweet. Decorating my desk was a nice touch to come in to in the morning too. I'm super lucky to work with someone like you!
Dear Me,
You are facing some super scary, life altering decisions. (Whoa Whitney, shiz just got real.) You will be ok. You are doing the right thing. It's time. Put on the Big Girl Panties.
Dear Friends.
I cannot adequately thank you for being a part of my life in a blog post. You have listened to me at all hours of the day. You have supported me. You have loved me. You've held my hand as I cried and doubted myself. You have celebrated my triumphs. You have taken the gloves off and hit below the belt. (Yeah, I'm talking about YOU.) It hurt like hell sometimes, but I needed to hear it. You have called me in the middle of the night,, after receiving an anxiety riddled text. I know you were tired, but you still called. Some of you have been a part of my life for 20 years. Some of you for 10, some for only a very short time. Some only know me through this blog. EVERY SINGLE ONE of you is a blessing to my life. I love you guys.
* Whoa....deepness*
Dear Momma Boom,
You have taken care of Boomer everyday this summer. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Science experiments, writing lessons, zoo trips! (Oh, my!) You were the best mother any child could have asked for, and I'm so glad that we live around the corner and Boomer gets to experience the awesomeness that is you. I'm so thankful for the time you're spending with her and the memories you're making. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to go to work everyday knowing that she is in you SUPER capable hands. Thank you Mommy.
So clearly the overwhelming theme today is thankfulness. I'm just so darn thankful for all the GOOD stuff in my life!
