I got really bored the other night....as well as excited that I had two shades of green polish that would be perfect for some St. Patty's Nails.
So I got it in my head to do a little step by step of how I did these fun tips!
Seche Vite Top Coat, OPI Base Coat, Gargantuan Grape, and a nice kelly green from Express' Spring Nail Collection |
First I did a base coat. Then I did THREE coats of the light green. (Gargantuan Green) I say THREE because that's what you need for it to be opaque. Be careful with this color because it has the tendency to be a little streaky. (As do most light polishes.)
Ok...next I did a quick coat of Seche Vite to help this dry before I taped the tips....which was a hot mess.....
Sorry its blurry....I'm right handed. |
Then I did another coat of Seche Vite....then I got reeeeeeaaally creative with a paper clip and added shamrocks to both ring fingers. Which turned out like this.
Then it dawned on me that I had the perfect colors to make a pot 'o gold!
The Pot is Ulta Little Black Dress, the Gold is Butter London in Full Monty....and I have no excuse for this blurry mess. |
So is everyone super excited for a weekend St. Patrick's Day. It's kind of a big deal here in C-bus, because of our proximity to Dublin. I think I may step out for a bit this year. Confession: I've never actually gone out for a St. Patrick's Day. I'll let you know how it goes.
